This year we had our traditional Annual Team Meeting between June 1 and 3, 2018 in Bodrum.
The primary purpose of this year’s annual meeting was to talk about innovation, demonstrate our roadmap for growth in the future, Branding and “Globalisation”. The programme consisted of meetings and discussions on our goals and vision, innovation, branding concepts and globalisation process of the company. The event began with icebreaker games to “warm-up” the group and proceeded with opening speech of our mentor, Mr Levent Erkan. During his speech, Erkan indicated that “Huge advances are being made in technology, and many of these innovations will directly benefit our business. We are involved with future-oriented technologies and business models, and we focus on new technologies to re-create our global vision. Today, as a global company, WE will achieve our vision ‘together’ by using provided technology.”
This year we had a special guest. A famous theatre and movie actor and director Mr Ali Poyrazoğlu had joined us during our 2nd session. Mr Poyrazoğlu, who appointed as UNICEF’s Goodwill Ambassador on November 2012 gave us a speech underlining the importance of “Innovation” and making a difference in our community to be more successful. Poyrazoğlu indicated, “As a global company, you have to be the first brand that comes to mind. With your “new image”, you adopt the idea that you are ready for the challenge and acting globally. You claim that you are providing global solutions and to do so, and employees have to transform into creative and enterprising individuals and be in the spotlight. You are your toughest opponent, and that is why you have to make a difference. You have to rediscover, re-organise your work. You have to come down to earth rather than wandering around in the imaginary world. You are going to redefine the rules of the game and even recreate your dreams. You have to be a dream monger. There is only one realty in making dreams come true: If you got a “no” as an answer that is because you could not convince that person for saying yes. A “no” means maybe, and you have to discover the ways to turn it into a “yes”. The solution is innovation.”
On the 2nd day of the Meeting, our Creative Manager, Mr Yiğit Yüksel gave a presentation on “Branding the Future”. The presentation was followed by a workshop, which gave the Team an opportunity to learn and share how a branding activity can be implemented in different departments and how these experiences can be utilised to create a synergy in the Team.
The efficient and useful presentations of our external experts and team members focusing on “Globalisation” constituted the last session of the meeting. Members from PGI London, Italy, Serbia, Black Sea and Southeast regional offices in Turkey made presentations on the related topic.
Our Annual Meeting had too many fun activities during the 3-day programme as well, and the Team had a chance to get to know each other better in a different atmosphere.
We are proud to have a large number of people in our Team, who came from different backgrounds and are very competent in their professions. It was a great pleasure to gather and share common goals during the 3-day event, and we are delighted with the outcome. We had the opportunity to meet and discuss international donor-funded projects, how the efficiency and effectiveness of these projects will be rebounded soon and the “Globalisation” of the Company. The event was an excellent opportunity for the members of the Team to meet and communicate with each other and helped to strengthen our company culture.
